Half Days, Ice, Rain, Snow and Dr. Seuss...Oh, What an Unusual Week!
This week we participated in Read Across America. Read Across America is an annual reading program that celebrates the birthday of Dr. Seuss.
We enjoyed reading, "The Cat in the Hat" and "The Foot Book" in class.
We also read the Biography of Dr. Seuss.

Even though this was an unusual school week , we used Dr. Seuss's book: "Oh, the Place You'll Go" to write about our future hopes and dreams.

We will read about: Charlie Parker, Duke Ellington, Stevie Wonder and Marion Anderson.

We will also use a new online educational program called, Studyladder.
Each student will be given a username and password which can be used to access Studyladder.

School is Back In Session
This is a short school week. Monday was a half day. Tuesday was our first full Snow day.
Now it's time to get back to work.

This week we will be reading three stories: Sid Scores, Land of Ice and My Father's Feet.
These stories can be found in Book 2 Lesson 11.
