School is Back In Session

This is a short school week. Monday was a half day. Tuesday was our first full Snow day.
Now it's time to get back to work. 

Over the next few days we will review the long vowels created when Silent e appears. 
We will also read a story called: Mark's Big Day. 
This story can be found in Storytown Book 3 Lesson 14.

This week we will study the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.  We will read several stories about his life and take a virtual class trip to his childhood home.

Welcome Back!
I hope you all had a restful Winter Break.
This month our class will be working hard to improve our reading and writing skills.

We have been reading from a series called "Storytown" Student Books.
This week we will be reading three stories: Sid Scores, Land of Ice and My Father's Feet.
